little things that help ease symptoms of depression:

  • turn the lights on and open a window
  • eat something healthy and drink ice cold water
  • find a comforting album to listen to whenever things get bad
  • take a long, relaxing bath
  • do yourself up in full make up and hair
  • be around people, even if you don’t think it will help
  • watch something funny on netflix
  • wear your favorite/most comfortable outfit
  • immerse yourself in a hobby like drawing
  • lose yourself in a really good book or movie

Overdependency is:

  • Desperately holding on to other people, places or things in an attempt to find meaning and purpose in your life.
  • Letting others do so much for you that it prevents you from developing your own sense of personal autonomy, independence, responsibility and accountability.

If you are on medication for any type of mental illness, NEVER stop taking it, no matter how much you think you don’t need it. You have no idea how much that will fuck you up until it’s too late.

This is very appropriate to me today.

A book that seriously helped save my life when I was under attack by suicidal thinking. I would advise anyone feeling suicidal to purchase it here. You can go under the “used” section and get it for like 30 cents with only 3-4$ shipping. I got mine used. It’s one of the most helpful and relaxing books you can have. I know there’s not many good, updated resources (as far as books) to help those under suicide fire, but this book has:
Activities to do when you’re feeling suicidal
Physical relaxation techniques
Drawing/Creative activities
Lists of things to help you
How the “suicidal ” brain works
Honesty
Encouragement
Positivity
The real story behind the woman who wrote it
How to heal
